"Growing up in the foster system is a challenge and that makes the special occasions even more special", says volunteer project coordinator, and former foster youth, Gigi Edwards Bryant.

The cost of prom can bust a family budget, and its an even bigger expense for teens in foster care. Since 2004 volunteers have been working hard to make sure foster children could enjoy their special moments with pride and grace through the Prom Princesses/Prom Dudes Project. This April, the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin will once again host a special evening for 130 young adults in the foster community.

We will be collecting new and gently used cocktail, evening gowns, shoes and jewelry to assist with the Prom Princesses/Prom Dudes Project. Please come out and help us support Austin's foster youth and make it a night to remember!

Events will take place every Thursday evening in October from 6:00pm - 9:00 pm.

October 1st - Kick off Party at Paradise Cafe
October 8th - Hollywood theme at Imperia, Music by Johnny Goudie
October 15th - Manis and Martinis at Cuba Libre
October 22nd - Lanai
October 29th - Wrap party at Speakeasy
